Its that time of year again, time to check out the wetsuit in case it shrank over the winter, time to get your dinghy out to Fenit and time to go racing. Yes indeed dinghy racing starts again on Sunday March 7th with two races FG at 3pm sharp (Peter Moore is OD).
The club has been quiet for most of the winter but our season got off to a great start with the annual Dress Dance in Ballygarry two weeks ago when a large party danced the night away and thought that they were teenagers again! Aching limbs and sore heads the foillowing day suggested otherwise though!
We have a full season planned for this year with many interesting and chalenging events. The next social function will be on March 16th with a talk entitled 'Sink or Swim - the Clipper round the world race' by Jacquie Browne. Admission is free and we expect a really interesting and enjoyable night.
Membership fees are now due and may be paid by post to the membership secretary at the clubhouse or online at www.traleebaysailingclub.com, There is huge demand for spaces in the dinghy park and applications should be made immediately. Spaces held over from last year which have not been paid for have been released as that deadline has passed. They are now available on a first come first served basis. Please note that dinghy park spaces are only available to fully paid up members.
