Information Sheet
Parking
Marshalls will direct you on arrival in the village on Sunday and every day thereafter. Please obey their instructions. There is no car parking available on the TBSC site. It is likely that Sunday 20th will be extremely busy in the village and you are advised to arrive in plenty of time.
Camping
There is no campsite in Fenit. You may camp at the entrance to Fenit Samphires soccer pitch and use the sailing club’s facilities. (200m)
Trailers
There is no storage for road/rib trailers on the TBSC site. You may bring a road trailer into the dinghy park via the lower entrance to unload but must remove it immediately thereafter. There will be no access to the dinghy park after 12noon on Sunday the 20th. We recommend that you keep your trailer at your accommodation as storage space in Fenit is limited. The carpark opposite the club will not be available for trailer storage. There will be some space available at a field on the Island Road. TBSC can take no responsibility for any damage or loss on this site.
RIBS
RIBS may be launched from the club slipway or the public slipway which is immediately adjacent to the club. RIBS may not be launched from the club slipway at any time during the event (Sun 20th – Fri 25th). RIBS may be recovered from the public slip at any time or from the club slip after the event has finished (Sat 26th) RIBS may not use the club pontoon at any time. All support boats must register with the race office Berths are available on the marina by arrangement with the harbour office (0353 66 7136231) There is no petrol available in Fenit. The nearest stations are in Tralee.
Catering
There will be food available in the club every day after racing.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will be held in Fenit Village at 630pm on Sunday evening. There will be street entertainment from 4 until 6. Sailors and families should assemble in good time for the ceremony. At the conclusion the participants will be asked to parade back up to the sailing club where there will be a reception (wine & snacks) with music |
